76. Write a poem for Elena.
This is probably one of the hardest things on my list to do. . .what exactly did I want to say to Elena-I wanted it to be from the heart yet something that she could understand. . .I liked this idea so much that I think I am going to begin a poetry journal that I record my poems in. . .
Dearest Elena,
The moment I found out about you,
A feeling inside of me grew like never before.
The months wouldn't go by fast enough,
And I couldn't believe that it was possible to love you any more.
As each day passed,
You and I created an unbreakable bond.
I counted down the days until I would finally meet you,
and hold you in my arms.
The day came and your Daddy and I were so excited to say hello,
The moment we saw you we were overcome with joy!
You were finally here- sent by angels from up above.
Your hair was like black silk and your lips as soft as a rose's bud.
When I finally held you in my arms,
I vowed that I would do everything in my power to keep you from harm.
I didn't know everything to do-
but what I did know was that you were now my meaning for life-
and that I didn't want to spend a waking moment without you.
No matter how old you get or far apart we may ever become-
know that I love you more than I have ever known!
Love,
Mommy
