The Nor' Easter giving us two extra days off after having Veterans day off was completely unexpected! I took the time to bring out a water color set and then washable paints. Both girls asked me what they should paint and I told them whatever they wanted. First, we started with the watercolors, Elena painted a family portrait and Alyssa painted a rainbow.
Then, we took out the washable paints and decided to try a folding technique-you paint half of the paper and then fold the other side across to get a mirror effect. Elena painted an apple tree and Alyssa painted a butterfly. Then the girls wanted to paint their names-I told them we could buy some frames and hang up their paintings on their bedroom walls.
