18. Teach both girls how to scrapbook a page with their photos.

The girls went to South Carolina with my parents for the weekend during their winter holiday break. They went to see my brother Oscar's family. The girls came back with many photos of their weekend and decided to create a scrapbook. Elena came with her scrapbook started and then used my fancy scissors and scrapbooking paper to add some flair. Alyssa started her scrapbook at home. This is an activity that I would like to do this year-buy a scrapbook for each girl and let them create a scrapbook of the events of 2011! Wish us luck :)

32. Take the girls to a concert.

August 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

The Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and Camp Rock 2 Cast

Parking lot opened at 5:00 p.m., Doors opened up at 6:00 p.m.

Demi Lovato came on stage at 7:30

There was a 30 minute intermission from 8:15 - 8:45

The Jonas Brothers were on stage from 8:45 until 10:40

The girls had a BLAST and I can not wait to take them to another concert. We had lawn tickets which was perfect for their first concert-they were able to sit, stand up, dance and pretty much move all around. GREAT NIGHT!

69. Get braces.

So-this one has been a LONG time in the making. I FINALLY went and did it-this is a post that will be at least 15-18 months in the making but I DID IT! Wish me luck :)

17. Take the girls to eat at The Melting Pot.

Thanks to my wonderful husband-he surprised me with dinner reservations for my birthday. The girls and I LOVED our dinner and the entire family enjoyed the experience. At first I must admit that I was a little apprehensive about taking the girls here because I didn't know how they would react exactly but now I am soooo glad that we did. And, Cris even said that we should come back with the girls since it was such a good experience- YEAH! :)

23. Invite my in-laws over for dinner.

We normally visit my in-laws at their house so I thought it would be nice for them to come over and eat dinner at our house for no specific reason. I made baked cheesy penne pasta with meatballs, bought some fresh white sweet corn and toasted french bread. It was nice for them to come over and sit, relax, and enjoy the kids. We ate, had some great laughs at the table and then the girls were teaching my mother-in-law how to play an x-box game called Hasbro Family game night. We definitely have to do this more often-it was nice to be the hostess and for their to be no specific reason.

30. Plan a surprise birthday party for Cris.

I sent out the invitations, ordered the cake and began making plans. One of which was NOT telling the girls-because I knew that if I told them they would probably spill the beans. I invited family, new friends and friends from middle and high school. The day came and I woke up early to go food shopping and to get decorations and balloons. I had to drop everything off to my parents' house so that Cris didn't see anything. Cris got off work and we got the girls ready and headed off to the movies. Then, we took advantage of the tax free weekend and went school clothes shopping for the girls. I called home to let them know we were on our way and then we arrived. Luckily, everyone had parked down the street so everything looked normal when we arrived home. Cris walked in, everyone shouted surprised and he was SHOCKED! It went perfect and I was so relieved-it will be an unforgettable evening!

79. Take the girls to see a Tides game.

The weather was PERFECT! The game started at 7 p.m. and the girls were so excited to see Harbor Park. It was great to see the evening from the girls' point of view. We ate salted pretzels, peanuts, popcorn, funnel cake, and a corn dog (for me). The girls were excited to get baseball cards when they arrived and look for the players on their cards. They met Riptide and Reggy the party animal. The Tides came back from a tied game to win in an extra two innings. Elena and Alyssa LOVED running the bases at the end of the game-by the time we got home they were EXHAUSTED! We had a great evening and are thinking of taking them to go see a Norfolk Admirals game this fall/winter.
